The Director of Women’s Services for Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital is a professional nurse leader who, as a member of the system's nursing leadership team, contributes to Norton Healthcare's commitment to quality patient care, clinical outcomes, strategic plan and goals. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with system and hospital leadership and staff, and through application of management, leadership and facilitation skills, lead and support nursing projects, committees, initiatives and projects. The Director of Women’s Services will support evidence-based practice and practice governance. He/she also will ensure that the Swanson Theory of Caring and patient/family centered care are the foundation for the nursing practice.
Through Norton Women’s Care, the hospital offers general and high-risk obstetric and gynecologic care, as well as a surgical unit with private rooms and specialized nursing care just for women. Norton Women’s & Children’s Hospital is a designated AAGL Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive GynecologyTM as well as an American College of Radiology Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. The hospital has been a primary provider of obstetrical services in Kentucky for a number of years, delivering more than 5,000 babies annually since 2003.
The Director will have ultimate responsiblity for 250-300 FTE.
Three or more years of progressive leadership in an acute care setting. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school of nursing, Master’s Degree preferred.
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
