The ANM in L&D will assess and provide care for pregnant women during the various stages of pregnancy and labor. The ANM in L&D monitors and documents the fetal heart rate and time between contractions. The ANM will be required to administer medications that induce and/or augment labor. The ANM provides assistance to the L&D nursing staff and OB/GYN physician during medical procedures. Will always assume the charge nurse role, supervise and provide direction to Registered Nurses, OB Technician and Unit Secretary.
Graduate of accredited School of Nursing
Currently Licensed in the State of Florida or eligible (with confirmation from State Board) for licensure
Current health care provider level BLS, ACLS, and NRP certification
Specialty certification preferred
Verbal and written English skills
Fetal monitoring certification
