This role provides direct clinical patient care. The role will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level. The role is responsible for supervision of staff to which appropriate care is delegated. The role is accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelors or Masters degree)
Required: Must be currently licensed, certified or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy. CPR

SICU: American Heart ACLS, NIHSS within 120 days of hire and/or before the end of
NICU:American Academy of Pediatrics Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) within 120 days of hire and then every two years. STABLE (American Academy of Pediatrics) within 180 days of hire and then every two years.
Labor & Deliver:American Heart ACLS, American Academy of Pediatrics Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) within 120 days of hire and then every two years. Within the first year of hire AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring. After one year of experience Nurse Evaluator designation. Second year of experience AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring. Fetal Monitoring required every two years.
Lactation:American Academy of Pediatrics Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) within 120 days of hire and then every two years. IBCLC certified or working towards certification.
Mother Baby: American Heart ACLS, American Academy of Pediatrics Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) within 120 days of hire and then every two years.
Vascular Access/PICC:American Heart ACLS, Intravenous (IV) Certification and Peripherally inserted catheter (PICC) Certification required within 90 days of hire.
Wound Care:Wound, Ostomy or Continence (WOCN), Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) or Wound Care Certified (WCC).
