Regional One Health’s maternity center is designated as the West Tennessee Regional Obstetrical-Perinatal Center, the highest level of obstetric care available, and houses the Mid-South’s only Level III High Risk Perinatal Unit. Our facility has fifteen spacious birthing rooms where mothers can experience labor, delivery and recovery.
We are currently seeking Registered Nurses for our Labor & Delivery Department. We have full-time opportunities for night shift as well as $45 / hour seasonal contract positions.
JOB SUMMARY AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provides professional nursing care to patients within the labor and delivery unit utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
EDUCATION: Graduate of an approved nursing school/program. Qualified by education, training or experience to work with the neonate, adolescent, and/or adult population as specialty assignment dictates.
EXPERIENCE: Experience in patient care as obtained through completion of an approved nursing program.
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION: Registered Nurse licensure to work in state of TN. Current CPR/BLS/NRP certifications required. NRP certification required within twelve (12) months of assignment. Selected applicant must complete required education (Level 3 and NRP) within one (1) year of assignment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Prolonged standing and walking; lifting, turning patients and equipment; repeated bending, squatting and stooping; exposure to infectious agents. Visual acuity is needed to assess color changes, to verify accuracy of written materials, and to administer and accurately prepare medications. Heavy Work - Exerting up to 150 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 75 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 30 pounds of force constantly to move objects. (May be further defined as "with or without assistance.")
