As a registered nurse specialist in inpatient obstetrics, provides specialized obstetric nursing care to normal/high-risk obstetric patients. High-risk patients are characterized by the presence of real or potential complicated fetal or maternal conditions requiring continuous observation and intervention to prevent complications and maintain/restore maternal and fetal health. Provides comprehensive nursing care of obstetric and normal newborn patients.
Candidate must possess one year of experience which includes providing includes developing or modifying nursing care plans, administering therapeutic measures (such as medications, intravenous fluids, blood transfusions, nasogastric tubes, oncology medication, central lines, ventilators, fetal monitors, arterial lines, etc) and identifying and responding to life-threatening situations.
