The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St. Joseph Mercy Health System in Ann Arbor Michigan is a level III NICU with 15 licensed NICU beds and Special Care Nursery. On staff is five Board Certified Neonatologist and NNP team. The unit is a strong family-centered and relationship-based care focus with a primary nursing model with a highly developed multidisciplinary team.
You have an opportunity as an experienced RN and NICU professional to serves as a member of the Ministry Organization’s nursing leadership team. You will be responsible for day-to-day operations, scheduling, staffing and providing 24/7 accountability for patient care delivery, planning, and evaluation of services of one or more clinical areas.

Participates in and supports strategic development and outcomes management of nursing clinical areas.
Responsible for review and evaluation of operations and services in accordance with business requirements, market place trends and technological needs.
Provides clinical and administrative leadership for planning, organizing, directing, monitoring and evaluating safe, superior and preeminent quality patient care to ensure the advancement of clinical practice and patient care for a nursing unit that is consistent with the ANA Scope of Practice, American Organization of Nurse Executive (AONE) Nurse Leader/Manager competencies, and American Nurses Credentialing Center Magnet Standards.
Collaborates with and supports director and key leaders, groups and stakeholder audiences in the development and implementation of operational plans, goals and objectives.
State of Michigan Registered Nursing license required
Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree required. Appropriate Master's Degree in Nursing, Business or Health Administration preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years clinical nursing or leadership experience at the unit level in a related health care setting.
Knowledge of professional nursing practice in a clinical specialty evidenced through professional practice/administrative certification. Certification preferred within 24 months of hire.
Member of a professional nursing organization preferred.
