Labor & delivery nurses assess and provide care for pregnant women during the various stages of pregnancy and labor. The labor & delivery nurse monitors and documents the fetal heart rate and time between contractions. The nurse may be required to administer medications that induce and/or augment labor. The labor and delivery nurse provides assistance to the physician during medical procedures. Will assume the charge nurse role PRN, supervise and provide direction to Registered Nurses, OB Technician and Unit Secretary.
Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing One year previous Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
Required: Must be currently licensed as an RN in State of FL
Current health care provider level BLS, ACLS, and NRP certification.
