Seeking an experienced nurse leader for our Labor & Delivery, Maternity, and Nursery Unit:
The Nurse Manager oversees the clinical and administrative operations of Labor & Delivery, Maternity, and Nursery Unit @ Bryn Mawr Hospital. With our recent build of our new Patient Pavilion, this unit boasts a beautiful, patient healing-centered environment that has 25-beds; 10 L&D rooms, and 2 c-section rooms. Here at Bryn Mawr Hospital, we care for just under 1600 births per year. Our team is a well-experienced staff that focuses on the patient safety of both the mother and child.
As the Nurse Manager of this unit, you would be accountable for providing leadership to staff in the maintenance of professional nursing practice, provision of quality patient care and a culture of safety.
You would be responsible for these units under the direction of the Director of Nursing/VP of Patient Care Services. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to be accountable for patient care activities and the development of staff in a fiscally sound manner.
Works collaboratively with other departments to ensure quality patient care and satisfaction.
Acts as a leader and facilitator in shared decision-making initiatives, at the clinical, departmental, and system levels, resulting in a superior patient experience.
Leads in accordance with professional practice standards as set forth by the American Nurses Association, PA Nurse Practice Act, regulatory standards and MLH policies and procedures.
1. Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing. 2. BSN preferred, other related Bachelors Degree or pursuing required; MSN or other related Masters Degree in process or completed.
Licensures & Certifications:
1. A current PA RN license. 2. Maintains validation of current BLS training (CPR). 3. Certification in specialty area highly preferred.
1. Three to Five years of Labor & Delivery, Maternity, and Nursery experience preferred.
Prior management, supervisor, charge, coordinator, or other related leadership experience required.
