Palomar Health is looking for a District Director, Women's Services to provide administrative leadership and oversight responsibility for OB Triage, Labor and Delivery, OB Cesarean Section Circulating and Recovery, High Risk OB (Antepartum), immediate care of the newborn and Postpartum patients for the District’s two birth centers. This position will report to the Escondido campus CNO, with the support of 3 Nurse Managers and approximately 175 FTEs.
The Palomar Medical Center Escondido and Palomar Medical Center Poway campuses both have private LDR rooms with approximately 3,500+ deliveries annually. Our hospitals also offer High Risk care, Level II NICU, certified lactation consultants, and birth preparation classes. It is our goal to provide a family-friendly environment at both Palomar Medical Center Escondido and Palomar Medical Center Poway, where state-of-the-art obstetrical units blend modern technology and comfortable, home-like furnishings. These birthing “suites” allow for a family-focused experience, with expert staff ensuring optimum care.
The District Director will play an active role in developing a high performing team, establishing goals and demonstrating best practices, modeling behavior standards, and ensuring a high level of productivity in the department. This role is integral in maintaining strong positive relations with hospital team members, medical staff, patients and the communities we serve.

Minimum Education: BSN or Master's Degree in a healthcare related field (to also include MBA) Minimum Experience: 3 years in progressive levels of responsibility in an acute care facility Required License: Current CA RN license Required Certification: Certification in Nursing Administration, area of specialty, or CHE, American Heart Association recognized BLS - Healthcare Provider
