The ClinicalLead is a registered nurse who assists the nurse manager/director incoordination, direction, throughput and evaluation of patient care, unitactivities and staff activities and performance on an assigned shift. Incorporates knowledge of the nursing processand professional standards of nursing in daily practice. Applies knowledge ofpatient requirements, growth and development to effectively make assignmentsand interventions. Facilitates the provision of consistent care based onchanging needs of patients on unit. Manages clinical and non-clinicalactivities on the unit in absence of the unit manager/director. Coordinates allunit activities for smooth operation in the absence of the unitmanager/director.
Required: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
Preferred: BSN preferred, not required.
Required: Valid current Arizona Nursing License.
Required: Required in area of clinical specialty within 3 years from ANCC or other approved credentialing entity (i.e. critical care: CCRN).
Required: Must have functioned in an RN role for a minimum of 1 year clinical experience required.
Required: Use of general patient care equipment and communication equipment; use of unit-specific equipment (clinical and general). Ability to adapt to changes in healthcare technology and support others in transition and learning. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Required: Nurse Practice Act.
Required: Basic computer skills.
Required: Must be able to work variable shifts, holidays, and/or weekends.
