Provo Canyon School is a residential mental health treatment center that serves youth struggling with emotional, behavioral and academic challenges. We serve both boys and girls ages 8 through 18 and have gender-specific programs for boys and girls at two distinct and separate locations. For more than 40 years, we have continued to enhance, expand and improve services and resources for families and students.
Due to expansion of services and clientele, we're building a team to focus solely on Stabilization and Assessment of our students. Safety and quality of care is our top priority as we assess the psychiatric and overall needs of our more acute students.
As a Nurse Manager for our Stabilization & Assessment program, you will:
be the primary guide for RNs, LPNs, and direct care staff.
report to our Director of Nursing and Clinical Director.
work tightly with the clinical team to ensure our students are kept safe as they're stabilized and transitioned into our general population.
assist nursing staff in identifying the critical areas of treatment and encourage problem-solving with respect to utilization review and transition planning.
be responsible for scheduling staff, evaluations, managing leave requests, and providing communication on a horizontal and vertical level interdepartmentally.
