The postpartum RN is responsible for providing care for female patients who gave birth recently. Postpartum Nurse are required to provide physical and emotional care tailored to the new mother's specific needs.Responsibilities:As a Postpartum RN your responsibilities consist of:
Perform various of health assessments to make certain the mother and baby are healthy and recovering correctly.
Educating the new mother and her family on caring for their baby and relieving any concerns by answering all questions they may have.
Watching for any signs of postpartum depression in the mothers and addressing correctly.
Requirements
One year of experience as a Postpartum RN within the past two years.
Active RN License in good standing.
Up to date Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.
Negative Drug Screen.
