REGISTERED NURSE WOMENS HEALTH

(Mountain Home AFB)
  • Degree: Associates Degree of Nursing.
  • Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
  • Experience:
  • One year of experience in nursing as identified in the TO after graduation.
  • Knowledge of professional care theories, principles, practices, disease process, and procedures to perform nursing assignments of moderate difficulty and experience to acutely ill pediatric, adult and geriatric patients as appropriate.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development, and pathophysiology of disease
Licensure: Maintain an active, valid, current, and unrestricted license (with no limitations, stipulations or pending adverse actions) to practice nursing as a registered nurse in any US state/jurisdiction. Certifications and Licensures requirements must be recognized and accepted by the State of practice in accordance with governing regulations.Additional Certification: BLS through American Heart Association.

Core Duties
  • Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals. Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the MTF.
  • Perform physical exam and health histories.
  • Provide health promotions, counseling, and education.
  • Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions.
  • Direct and supervise care provide by other healthcare professionals.
  • Accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel.
Hours
  • Be scheduled to work between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday with a one hour lunch period.
  • HWC will not exceed 40 hours per week.
  • Contractor will not be required to work on Family Days or Down Days declared by the Wing CC.
Special Requirements/Skills

Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities. Team work skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
