Registered Nurse NICU

Nights 7P-7A
The NICU is a 41-bed intensive care inpatient unit that provides services to neonates that are admitted from the Family Birth Center (FBC), the Family Care Unit (FCU) and from transferring hospitals. Patients are transferred from hospitals within a 350 mile radius of Lubbock. The NICU has a trained transport team that flies by helicopter, fixed wing airplane or by ambulance to surrounding areas for patient transfer. The patient population is comprised of medically ill neonates as well as those infants requiring surgical intervention. The NICU offers patient care services 24 hours a day to neonates at risk. The goal of this unit is to provide high quality care to patients and their families.
Qualifications
-Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
-Valid Texas RN License/Eligible Compact License
-Must maintain a current BLS certification from American Heart Association
-Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from American
Academy of Pediatrics required or must be obtained upon hire
