Lovelace Women's, Albuquerque, NM:
We have converted to an in house NNP model for our Level 3 NICU in Albuquerque. It is licensed for 53 beds but the daily census ranges widely from 15-25. We take care of all gestational ages, but no surgery or ECMO. All ventilatory modes are represented and the facility does have nitric oxide. Providers get called to high-risk deliveries but not necessarily every c section.
Seven 24 hr shifts will be considered full time with the ability to do extra or bundle shifts.
Incentives: Sign on and relocation if full time, along with a full benefits package which includes, medical/dental/life/short- and long-term life insurances, HSA benefits, and a 401K, Paid preceptor orientation for new graduate NNP's.
Will consider part time to full time.

UT Health Tyler - Tyler, TX:
We currently are operating a Level 3 NICU at UT Health Tyler in East Texas. It just opened a year and a half ago. It has 16 beds but the daily census ranges around 5-7. We take care of gestational ages down to 28 weeks, but will eventually take down to 22 & 23 weeks. There are no current plans to do ECMO or surgery. All ventilatory modes are represented and the facility is working on getting nitric oxide. Providers get called to high risk deliveries but not necessarily every c section. No nursery requirement, but there is a transport requirement. We do a several transports a month via ground transport to outlying community hospitals within an hour radius. NNPs would be expected to go on transports. Probably 4-5 per month but it varies.
Incentives: Sign on and relocation if full time, along with a full benefits package which includes, medical/dental/life/short and long term life insurances, HSA benefits, and a 401K. Paid preceptor orientation for New Graduate NNP's.
Will consider part time to full time.
Some prior NICU experience is a must due to the transports.
The key here is that UT Health just broke ground on a new medical school and the first set of students will start in the fall. While the volume is low right now, over time it will get busier and the unit will grow. We would like to find a NNP who would be willing to grow with it.
