Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be able to:
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes
    • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served in assigned units.
    • Must be able to assist the surgical team in accomplishing the plan of surgical care
    • Demonstrate knowledge of sterile technique, sterilization procedures, principles of surgical procedures, anatomy and physiology, use and care of surgical instruments and equipment.
    • Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals
    • Understand the surgery schedule workflow and is available to meet the needs for room turnovers, patient transport, and cleaning

Qualifications

What You'll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent and graduate from a surgical technology program
  • At least one year L&D surgical tech experience preferred
  • NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist
  • Current BLS
