Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be able to:
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served in assigned units.
- Must be able to assist the surgical team in accomplishing the plan of surgical care
- Demonstrate knowledge of sterile technique, sterilization procedures, principles of surgical procedures, anatomy and physiology, use and care of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals
- Understand the surgery schedule workflow and is available to meet the needs for room turnovers, patient transport, and cleaning
Qualifications
What You'll Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent and graduate from a surgical technology program
- At least one year L&D surgical tech experience preferred
- NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist
- Current BLS
