We are looking for a Lactation Consultant Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Lactation team in Albuquerque, NM.

Responsibilities

Lactation Consultant Registered Nurse (RN) Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for applying professional clinical skills and expertise to the care and management of breastfeeding infants and lactating mothers.
  • Responsible for the development, promotion and implementation of lactation support services to clinical staff, patients and community members.
  • Adheres to policies and procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications

Lactation Consultant Registered Nurse (RN) Education and Experience Job Requirements:

  • Minimum: Associate's Degree or Diploma of Nursing
  • Desired: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • One (1) year of training and program development experience
  • Valid NM Nursing license or NM compact license (within 90 days of hire)
  • Current BLS; NRP
  • Training: Intensified training in lactation
  • Current IBCLC or IBCLC Exam scheduled within one (1) year from date of hire
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to work independently
  • Basic computer skills
