Southwest Healthcare Rancho Springs Hospital in Murrieta, California, is a 120 bed acute-care hospital with the region's only Pediatric Emergency Services team (for children 14 and under) provided by board certified Rady Children’s emergency medicine physicians. Rancho Springs Hospital also provides the area's only OB/Emergency Department program, which gives expectant mothers 24/7 on-site access to OB/GYN physician coverage. The Childbirth Center at Rancho Springs Hospital is the largest in the region and features spacious family-friendly private suites. Rancho's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is operated by Rady Children’s.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Staff Labor & Delivery Registered Nurses are responsible for providing excellence in patient care, collaborative and comprehensive care based on patient and/or family needs, providing assessments, treatment and care on assigned units. Staff Registered Nurses will also practice in accordance with all regulatory, professional, legal and hospital policies as well as consistently demonstrate behaviors that model the SWHS Core Values and the hospitals mission statement.

Effective written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area (BSP), circumference and volume.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

One year experience as a Registered Nurse in Labor/Delivery and Nursery preferred.

One year experience as a Registered Nurse in Post Partum, preferred.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program
 

REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS

California RN license.

AWHONN Fetal Monitoring. Successful completion of course every two years.

  1. AWHONN Basic Fetal Monitoring class within New to Specialty training program.
  2. AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring class within 9 months of hire into a New to Specialty training program)

NRP Successful completion of course of the AAP and AHA.

ACLS (AHA) Certification

BLS (AHA) Certification
