Registered Nurse - Fetal Center (1. 0 FTE)

This position will be based in our Springbrook Clinic in Seattle, providing virtual support to our Tri-Cities Clinic. Travel to our Tri-Cities Clinic anticipated approximately once a month.

Our Clinic provides care for pregnant women and their families when the pregnancy is complicated by known or suspected conditions in the developing fetus. Our program integrates obstetric care from the University of Washington Maternal Fetal Medicine providers and pediatric specialty care from Seattle Children's providers for families facing complicated pregnancy management or decision-making. When a disorder is detected before birth, outcomes may be improved by treating the fetus or by condition-specific management of the pregnancy, labor and delivery. Reasons for referral include abnormal prenatal screening or chromosome analysis, suspected fetal structural abnormalities, risks identified through genetic testing or genetic counseling, maternal health conditions which may affect the fetus and family history of a child with a congenital abnormality or genetic disorders.

As an integral member of the Health Care Team, the RN functions within the Scope of Practice as defined by the State, the ANA Scope and Standards for Pediatric Nursing Practice, and adheres to Seattle Children's policies/procedures and guidelines of care. Responsible for providing safe, family centered patient care. Using the Nursing Care Process, the RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care in a collaborative method with the patient and patient's family, significant others, and members of the health care team. May be required to provide supervision and delegation of tasks to Nurse Technicians, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Medical Assistants, and others as defined by the State Administrative Code. Assists in meeting Seattle Children's strategic goals by incorporating the initiatives to support the strategic plans into the daily work, i.e. Continuous Performance Improvement (CPI), ART, etc.

Requirements
Required Education/Experience: - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred. - Prior experience in a pediatric related health care setting, or a specific area of nursing, may be required for specific departments. - Per the driver's license requirement noted below, must have a driving record acceptable to Risk Management. Required Credentials: - Current Washington State RN License, or other current state license that the RN is required to work in. - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers is required for all positions. Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) will be accepted in lieu of BLS for Healthcare Providers. ACLS will not be accepted as a substitute to the requirements listed above. Employees are responsible for any costs (including time away from work) associated with obtaining PALS or PEARS certification if it is not a requirement of the position.Preferred:

- Maternal Fetal Medicine, OB, and Labor and Delivery experience.
Salary Information
This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.

Seattle Children's offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
