Position Summary:

Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. This includes Labor and Deliver, Post Partum and Newborn Nursery.

Minimum Education

Nursing Associate Degree or Completion of an Accredited Nursing Diploma Program. Bachelor's Degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.

Required Skills

Effective verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of appropriate equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective patient outcomes. Detail oriented, with ability to prioritize and multitask. Ability to apply sound judgment with clinical skills for optimal patient care. Demonstrates flexibility by accepting and supporting changes in work assignments as related to department and patient needs.

Certifications/License

Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina or Multistate license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) with in 30 days of hire
Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) 90 days from hire date, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, STABLE preferred.

Minimum Work Experience

Minimum of six months to one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a hospital Medical/Surgical or L&D Setting required.
