RN, Lactation Consultant

Discover all the possibilities of a career at Northside today.The Lactation Consultant will be responsible for maintaining high standards in advanced lactation practice while serving as a resource person for both patients and health care providers. Responsibilities also include assisting in patient/staff education and support in all aspects of lactation management, comprehensive assessment of patient and family needs, identification of outcomes based on the needs assessment and for establishment of a plan of care.REQUIRED:

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.

Minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience as a RN post-orientation or post-residency training.

Minimum of one (1) year experience in lactation.

National Certification in Specialty (IBCLC).

Advanced problem-solving skills.

Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

PREFERRED:

BSN degree in Nursing

Other preferred RN attributes per unit leadership.
