Responsibilities
What You'll Do
- The responsibilities of the Registered Nurse in the LDRP unit include, but are not limited to caring for women and their infants before, during and after the birth process.
- Continuous monitoring of mothers and infants providing intrapartum and postpartum care.
- Providing education and support to mothers about the care of their newborn including breastfeeding and home care.
- A strong attention to detail and excellent communication necessary.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a valid Oklahoma or Multi-state RN license
- Current BLS certification required, Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) required within (6) months, or more current years of acute care experience as a RN with (1) year experience in Labor and Delivery preferred.
- Demonstrates ability to perform the technical skills and critical thinking outlined in performance standards.
- Must be able to provide nursing care to patients of all ages; infants to geriatric population.
- Demonstrates leadership and teaching skills
- Proficient typing and computer skills preferred.
