The NICU IMC unit at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital is offering up to a $11,250 sign on bonus. Join our team as a NICU IMC RN at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital! Our compassionate, innovative approach has repeatedly received national recognition. We are a designated March of Dimes NICU Family Support® program and have a Neuro NICU for babies with neurologic conditions.NICU Department:Level IV NICU (highest level of care for neonates)Neonatal Nurse Practitioners on Staff 24/7.74 bedsNICU- Intermediate Care Unit (IMC)Level II and III 25 bedsCaring for premature babies 33 weeks and above.Offer a variety of respiratory modalities; Conventional Ventilator, Stable Trachs, and HFNC.1-3 patients per RN depending on stability of the babyWe offer a generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, vacation/sick time, pension, 403(b) plan, tuition reimbursement, student loan repayment program and more. Responsibilities/Job Description:
Provides care to critically ill premature infants and neonatal patients needing close observation.Performs advanced monitoring using current technologyCardio respiratory monitoringDefibrillatorVaritrend monitoringCare for patient undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures/interventions on the unit.
Qualifications:
Required:Active MN RN LicenseBasic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare ProvidersNRP certification at or within 6 months post hire onto the unit Preferred:One year of RN experience in peds or OB care OR level II or level III nursery OR an ICU/PICU setting ORCompletion of a Capstone or similar preceptorship experience in a NICU setting.
