The Perinatal Shift Manager (Registered Nurse) is responsible and accountable for the delivery of skilled, high quality patient care; for assisting in planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating nursing practice in accordance with the Mission of Doctors Hospital and Perinatal Services. He/she demonstrates a high degree of critical thinking, technical skill, initiative, integrity, accuracy and compassionate nursing care in an interdisciplinary practice.

The Shift Manager assists the Department Director in providing direction in the development and evaluation of nursing personnel, and in maintaining operations of the patient care unit. Prescribes, delegates, and coordinates nursing care acting as resource for clinical issues involving the plan of care. Contributes to nursing and hospital mission through support of philosophy and objectives, educational efforts and research efforts. He/she performs as a peer role model for professional behavior and in demonstrating superior expertise in the delivery of nursing care, and oversight of all functions of the department during assigned shift. Performs other duties as required.

Education
Required: Academic degree in nursing.
Preferred: Bachelors or Masters degree.

Certifications
Required: Active California R.N. license, BLS and Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) within 6 months of hire.

Pay Range: $47.33 - $73.34
Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an employee's qualifications and experience.
