Located in Largo in the heart of Prince George’s County, our facility provides improved access to primary and ambulatory care services, and serve as a tertiary care center for critically ill patients

 

 

 

Full-time, Per Diem and Float Pool Positions available for Women and Infant Units:

 

  • Labor & Delivery Mother Baby Special Care Nursery

 

 

About The Units:

 

LABOR & DELIVERY

 

Our team of highly skilled and compassionate staff are trained to handle any birth situation, no matter how straightforward or complicated. Our birthing options are collocated on a special floor and wing in the hospital and include:

 

  • Traditional labor and delivery suites for low to moderate and high-risk deliveries Delivery of operating rooms for planned and emergency cesarean sections Birthing Center for low intervention natural birth Special Care Nursery for pre-term and vulnerable newborns

 

 

MOTHER/ BABY

 

When it comes to caring for the post partum mother, the nurses on our mother baby unit are caring a proficient,

 

Mother/Baby is a place to rest, heal from the delivery and a time to learn self-care and care for your new baby.  Our expert staff on Mother/Baby offer family centered care for new and experienced mothers.  Your nurse is an excellent resource for infant feeding, and postpartum care. Our unit also include:

 

  • Breastfeeding support with certified lactation consultants Special Care for infants who need that extra support

 

 

SPECIAL CARE NURSERY

 

Most newborns are born healthy but when extra care is needed, we offer a dedicated Special Care Nursery for the little lives who may have special needs.  Our Special Care Nursery has 15 private rooms fully equipped with state-of the-art equipment and devices.  Most important, we have a team of experts who put the patient and the family at the center of everything they do. 

 

You will be working with a multi-disciplinary team – neonatologist, neonatal nurse practitioners, neonatal nurses, dieticians, physical medicine (PT, OT, SLP), respiratory therapists – with one goal of providing safe and quality care.  You will be trained and prepared to support any unexpected delivery and stabilization of infants requiring all levels of care.

What You Need to Be Successful:

 

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing education program approved by the Board of Nursing.  BSN preferred. Currently licensed as an RN in the state of Maryland. BLS certification 1-2 years of clinical experience in specialty area (NICU or L&D) required. Experienced acute care RNs that want to expand their career and learn our specialty of L&D, NICU and Mother/Baby are encouraged to apply. Must have at least 2 years of acute care experience.
