Overview:
Day Shift - 7 am - 7 pmCritical Care Float Pool - PICU/NICU/ED - will cross train to Med/SurgThree 12 hr. shifts/weekWeekend Requirement - 4 weekend shifts in a 6-week period Utilizes nursing process and knowledge of scientific principles to provide comprehensive, age appropriate nursing care on all critical care and medical/surgical units for stable and critically ill patients. Responsibilities:
Utilizes the nursing process to develop and implement a comprehensive, age-appropriate plan of care for stable and critically ill patients and families which promotes optimal patient outcomes.Meets the educational and informational needs of the stable and critically ill patient and family, utilizing appropriate principles of teaching/learning.Promotes safe, efficient, family-centered care to stable and critically ill patients.Delegates nursing care based on knowledge of staff qualifications/competency and patient care requirements.Participates in performance improvement activities and attends education programs, unit meetings and assigned committees.

Qualifications:
Associate's Degree or equivalent 2 years or more of nursing experienceBachelor's Degree preferred. Direct care nurses without a BSN hired on or after September 1, 2013 are required to enroll in an academic program promptly in order to complete their BSN degree requirements within 5 years of their hire date.One of the following: Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas required upon hireOne of the following: Licensed RN - MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri required upon hireRefer to Nursing and Advanced Practice Provider Licensure and Certification policy for required Life Support Certifications Required Upon HireSpecialty Certification relevant to unit's patient population (determined by Nurse Manager/Director) Preferred

Starting Pay:
Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $31.47/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home:
This position is not eligible work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children's Mercy locations and may not work from home.
