Job Summary:
Provides professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical care environment, guided by the SMHCS nursing professional practice model and in accordance with the ANA's Standards of Professional Practice.

Required Qualifications:
- Require basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.- Require graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program. For new hires after 2012, Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) required within three (3) years of hire date.- Require Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 90 days of hire in accordance with the NRP curriculum of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Heart Association.- Require any neonatal certification obtained during employment will be maintained during the remainder of employment. These include but are not limited to: High Risk Neonatal Nursing Certification, Neonatal Transport Certification, Child Passenger Safety Technician Certification, any Lactation Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Prefer certification in nursing specialty area.

BLS: Basic Life Support/CPRFL RN: FL Registered Nurse License

Preferred License and Certs:
ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support

Work Days/Shift/Start Time:
This is a Full time night shift NICU RN position. Unit shift hours are 6:00PM-6:30AM. Weekends, Holidays and mandatory on call shift are required. NRP certification within 90 days of employment required. 2 year NICU commitment contract required upon hire.
