Job Knowledge:
- Uses acceptable standards of practice based on nursing process and theory to help the individual/family/group with complex and unpredictable needs. Identify and meet basic age-appropriate health needs. The nurse coordinates care of the individual/family/group using a multidisciplinary holistic approach.
- Promotes a climate in which consumers can act in their own interest or intervenes when they are unable to do so.
- Uses the nursing process and theory to provide age-appropriate individual/family/guardian/designated surrogate education using a wide range of teaching activities to promote health.
- Works to achieve desired health care outcomes by effectively utilizing human and material resources.
- Is accountable for the ethical, legal and professional responsibilities related to nursing practice across all roles, within the scope of practice.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
- Graduated RN, ADN, diploma, BSN nursing program, with a current or pending Colorado nursing license.
Training and Experience:
- BCLS required. NRP required within 6 months of hire. STABLE and Fetal Monitoring recommended.
Job Knowledge:
- Encompasses a wide range of nursing, psycho-social and medical information which includes nursing process, communications and problem-solving, assessment and prioritizing skills
