Palmdale Regional Medical Center serves the region by providing high quality medical services to residents of the Antelope Valley, Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding communities. With the recent addition of the Rehabilitation Institute, the hospital features 184 licensed acute care beds as well as inpatient and outpatient surgery, cardiac services featuring a STEMI Receiving Center (heart attack) and a 35-bed 24-hour emergency department. The Center for Wound Care provides treatment for people with chronic non-healing wounds. This comprehensive wound-healing service includes hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Palmdale Regional Medical Center is active in the community and regularly participates with the Antelope Valley Board of Trade, Greater Antelope Valley Economic Alliance, Chambers of Commerce and other civic and governmental groups. Building a Healthier Community...Big Changes are already here! Essential Job Duties:Reports to the Director of Women's and Children Services. Works as scrub tech in OB OR, and attends vaginal deliveries. Assistant and maintains an organized flow of clerical, communication, and related activities within the unit. Provides nursing care within scope of practice following unit specific standards of care and the policies and procedures of PRMC.

Qualifications:
Position Requirements Minimum of one (1) year experience as Scrub Tech requiredAssists the Obstetrician and the RN as surgical scrub and for other obstetrical proceduresInspects, maintains, decontaminates, and repairs surgical equipment, keeping inventory recordsConducts pre and post-surgery patient care, including clipping, transporting and applying dressingsKeeps all needed surgical equipment at the ready, including sterile linens, saline, lights, suction machines, etc.Sets up and maintains surgical field, collaborating with nurses and OB's and assisting as requiredAssembles, transports, and retrieves surgical equipment, ensuring all pieces leave the roomStocks unit and orders supplies as neededMinimum of on (1) year experience as Unit Clerk/Certified Nurse Assistant preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredOperating room experience requiredCurrent California Certified Nurse Assistant Certificate preferred or within 6 months of hire.Current BLS (CPR) Certificate required.Demonstrates knowledge of Patient Rights, knowledge of unit specific CQI and hospital mission.Knowledgeable of personal safety policies and practices, and maintains appropriate body mechanics This opportunity offers the following; Challenging and rewarding work environment Growth and Development Opportunities within UHS and its Subsidiaries Competitive Compensation Excellent Medical, Dental, Vision and Prescription Drug Plan 401k plan with company match.
