Title: Registered Nurse
Specialty: Neonatal Intensive Care
Facility: Acute Care (Hospital)
Shifts: 36 hour days; 40 hour nights
Responsibilities but not limited to the following:
- Provide quality nursing care to NICU patients
- Report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions
- Demonstrate the ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care of the neonatal patient
- Perform neonatal assessment of NICU patients and newborn nursery patients
- Take care of the preemie
- Provide intensive care management throughout the treatment episode at the levels of care designated by the use of approved medical necessity criteria
- Maintain readiness of emergency equipment and supplies in the NICU, stabilization area, and neonatal transport unit
Qualifications:
- One year RN acute care experience required
- Active Applicable State Licensure
- American Heart Association issued BLS and ACLS
