Responsible for providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion and skilled communication, leads efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

• General Information
  • Beds: 9 LDRP; 10 Postpartum; 2 OR's
  • Experience: 2 years
  • First-time traveler: Upon review
• Patient Types: Labor/Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum, Gynecology
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 L/D or 1:4 couplets (days and nights)
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Skills required: Read FHM tracing, vaginal exams, IV starts, Oxytocin and Magnesium gtts management, attend delivery care of labor patients, circulate in C-sections
• Support on the Unit:
  • CNA: 2 techs on the floor
  • Charge nurse may take a patient assignment
  • RT
  • Unit secretary (dayshift)
  • Centralized Telemetry Monitoring with Tele tech
  • Centralized FHM at Nursing station
  • Phlebotomy
  • Vascular access team
• Charting System/Equipment: EPIC, Alaris, Pyxis
• Scrub Color: procedural
• Parking: Free
