The RN Lactation Consultant works with breast feeding mother and baby couplets to facilitate the initiation of breast feeding and offer ongoing support and education to facilitate continued breast feeding after discharge. COVID-19 and Flu Vaccination Requirement: It is required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 and Influenza. Orients new nursing employeesParticipates in unit councilsAssesses patient's status through interview, observation and physical assessment of actual problems and outcomesAll patient interactions are documented in a concise format in the EMRChooses an appropriate and meaningful communication style when interacting with others: gives and accepts constructive feedback to/from peers.

Qualifications:
Education:Graduate of an accredited nursing program.Experience:Minimum of 1 year experience in maternal-newborn nursing or related area.License(s)/Certification(s):Current licensure in good standing as a Registered Nurse in the State of IllinoisCLC or CLS#RNpositionsQC
