Job Title: RN-L&D

Location: Minneapolis, MN-55454

Shift/Schedule: 0.9 Night shift every other weekend 1900 - 0730

Pay Rate:

Travel Rate : $81- $91/Hr (No Benefits & Housing)

Local Rate: $67 - $77/Hr

Holiday Rate: $126 - $136/Hr

Hours Per Week : 36

Hours Per Day: 12

Days Per Week: 3

Start Date: 08/01/2022

Est. End Date : 10/31/2022

Requirements: BLS (CPR), RN license

Duties: 0.9 NIGHT every other weekend 1900-0730

Float to like units if census requires

Job Requirements:

Scope of Care/Service: Provides nursing care to patients (infant, adolescent, and adult). Specialty Core Competencies/Performance Expectations Provides care, assessment, and management of laboring patient and delivery of the infant (vaginal and C/S-surgical patient)Performs triage- performs a physical assessment of maternal patients- identifies maternal and fetal risk factors and provides fetal and uterine electronic monitoring- intervenes appropriately- utilizes IUPC, IFSE, fetal oximetry, interventions provides care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients with complex medical conditions, including but not limited to:- PIH- Postpartum hemorrhage- Insulin-dependent diabetes- Gestational diabetes uses FCIS system and Pyxis

Skills: Specialty Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed: Minimum 1 yr experience as RN in a hospital setting. Minimum one-year experience in an LD or Postpartum/Newborn Nursery Supports a focus on the patient in all interactions with patients, families, visitors, and volunteers. Ability to perform as a team member. Attend a minimum of any 2 PP/NBN/LD in-services per year. Knowledge and ability to utilize LD equipment knowledge and ability to perform environmental support duties Knowledge of documentation requirements. Orients patient to room and initiates data collection Maternal and infant VS Documentation during delivery postpartum checks knowledge of basic nursing principles. Provides comfort care and labor support Supports initial breastfeeding efforts and starts Foley catheter insertion. Teaching skills, ability to follow teaching plan as delegated by the knowledge of the transfer process. Collaborates with LD RN and PP RN to facilitate seamless transfer of care

Education: Specialty education NRP Current Minnesota RN License BLS
