The Certified Lactation Consultant provides consultation and guidance to in-patient lactating mothers and their infants to ensure successful breastfeeding outcomes. The incumbent demonstrates initiative and creativity in assessing breastfeeding education needs of patients and staff, and monitors the effectiveness and quality of program services. 

Specifications: High school diploma required, Associate's degree preferred. Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners certification (IBCLC) required. Valid Rhode Island Lactation Consultant licensure (LLC) required. Minimum of 3 years related work experience as an IBCLC required. Teaching experience preferred. Excellent human relations and communication skills required.
