The Nurse Manager is responsible and accountable for the economic and day-to-day operations of the Labor & Delivery department. The Nurse Manager assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the delivery of patient care and provides for the development and evaluation of unit personnel. This includes a commitment to empowering staff. The Clinical Nurse Manager demonstrates leadership abilities while maintaining the operational aspects of the Labor & Delivery Department in collaboration with Administration. The Nurse Manager functions within the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Board of Nursing.
