Our client is looking to hire a career driven Registered Nurse (RN) Labor & Delivery. Location in San Antonio, TX.
Summary:
The Registered Nurse Labor & Delivery will provide care for patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessment. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion and skilled dialogue, the registered nurse leads efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience. The nurse delivers and coordinates patient-centered care across the continuum to support the successful transition of patients to other healthcare delivery systems or their home communities. The registered nurse is responsible for providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the appropriate utilization of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation, in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Nursing Diploma or ASN required, BSN preferred.
Current Texas State RN license or compact state RN license.
Current BLS through American Heart Association required.
Current ACLS preferred; required within 6 months of hire.
Minimum one year RN experience preferred but not required.
Customer service abilities including effective listening skills. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
Must have 1 year of recent Long Term acute care hospital or Short-Term acute care hospital experience.
