Registered Nurse, RN BSN - Maternal Child Float Pool (Per Diem Nights)

Primary Function:

Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, the Professional Registered Nurse functions within the Professional Nursing Law, according to professional standards, and his/her level of knowledge and experience. He/she assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients (or patient) for a designated time frame by prescribing, delegating, and coordinating nursing care. The Professional Registered Nurse provides care to the patient population of a specified clinical unit.

Qualifications

Education: BSN required.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN Med/Surg experience required. 1 year in Labor Delivery or Maternal Infant or NICU or Pediatrics required.

Licensure, Certification & Registration Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or Graduate Nurse with Temporary Practice Permit. Maintains current licensure.
  • BLS certification through American Heart Association required.
  • Certification in clinical practice area preferred.
  • Membership in Professional Organization encouraged.


Conditions of Employment

Since this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.
