For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Certified Nursing Assistants:

* 0-1 years of experience eligible for $2,500 (full time)
* 1+ years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time)
* Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time CNA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
* Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

Position Summary (This position will consist of 32 hours per week.)

The Certified Nursing Assistant assists the Registered and Licensed Practical Nurse in the delivery of direct nursing care. This position performs other duties in accordance with established policies and procedures. The CNA must work effectively with the Medical Staff, Nursing Staff, Administration, Support Services, and Ancillary Services personnel to provide quality patient care.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
    * License/Certifications: Successful completion of an approved C.N.A. Program and certification by the State of Maine.
    * Experience: Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred.
