HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest is a 423-bed acute care hospital that has been serving the north Houston community for more than 40 years, providing a wide range of medical services including cardiology, maternity care, neonatal intensive care, pediatrics, bariatrics and neurology.HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest is affiliated with HCA Houston Healthcare, part of the HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division. The division is a comprehensive network of hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, emergency centers and diagnostic imaging facilities in greater Houston, Corpus Christi and South Texas. Facilities include: 17 hospitals, nine ambulatory care centers, 13 off-campus emergency centers, and a regional transfer center.

What you will do in this role:
- Under the general supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Administrative Director of Women's and Children's Services, assumes responsibility for functions in Women's and Children's to include Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, NICU and Nursery.
- In collaboration with the Medical Directors of the Women's and Children's, this individual is responsible for the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in these areas.
- Initiates, guides, and directs the coordination of Women's and Children's Department functions.
- Assumes responsibility for the overall quality of nursing care provided by the Women's and Children's Departments.
- Makes decisions regarding activities within these areas based on Administrative Operational Standards, Nursing Administrative Standards, Human Resource Standards, and Women's and Children's Department Standards with collaboration with the Medical Directors and/or Chief Nursing Officer in unusual situations.
Qualifications
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
- Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or Business required
- Five (5) years or more clinical experience in women's services required, L&D experience preferred
- Three (3) years or more progressive leadership experience
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
- NRP certification preferred
