Job Title: Direct Care Professional/CNA for Luxury Women's Alcohol Treatment Center
Reports to: Facility Director
Department: Operations
Supervises: Clients
Salary: DOE + Benefits (after successful completion of introductory period)
Hourly: Full & Part-Time positions available

Summary:
The Support care professional (also known as Direct Care Staff) are individuals whom are responsible for providing active direct care, treatment, rehabilitation, and/or habilitation to the clients. Support staff assist in the daily operational needs of the facility; as well as assists in executing the daily tasks and duties required to provide the highest level of client care. Support Staff are responsible for the support and supervision of clients while in the treatment program. She will also support the needs of clinical and operations staff as needed. The focus of this position is working with and through others, building and maintaining relationships, and working closely and accurately within established guidelines. The successful candidate should be an effective communicator, able to stimulate and motivate others while being aware of and responsive to their needs and concerns. There will be many different people to meet and work with. The person in this position must be friendly and genuinely interested in the business, agenda, and needs of others, including the company, its management, the team, and the company's clients. A persuasive, teaching style of communication is required to communicate the company's policies, programs, and systems. A faster-than-average pace will be the norm for this position. Detail work is a major focus of the job, and those details need to be handled quickly, correctly, and efficiently. This portion of the work will often focus on relationships with others; correct handling of details dealing with others is necessary to maintain and grow relationships. As time is usually a factor, the work must be done on time, as well as correctly. In general, this is a position where guidelines, structure, and established policies must be followed fairly closely, while working with and for others. To protect female clients' privacy in their residential areas, and to preserve the rehabilitative interests of providing a women-only alcohol addiction treatment facility, female gender is an essential qualification of this position.
Essential Functions:
Provide direct care, rehabilitation and/or habilitation services to clients
Provide guidance and supervision to clients at all times, including in clients' residential units, bathrooms, and other private areas
Transportation of clients to and from any ancillary activities and/or appointments
Assist with operational duties as requested by the Clinical Director
Follow all guidelines and procedures set forth by the company
Complete documentation and reporting
Responsible for the facility duties:
o Create, enforce and maintain chore schedule of clients.o Ensure clients are out of bed at required times, and enforce curfew.o Enforce visitation hours, and monitor visitors to ensure only authorized visitors are present.o Monitor offsite activities including meetings, gym, appointments etc.o Work with Housekeeping staff to ensure, and maintain cleanliness of the property o Enforce proper dress code of all clientso Enforce and monitor client phone usage per the policy and procedure manualo Administer drug and alcohol screenings to clients weekly, and at other times in accordance with Deerhaven Gardens' policies Ensure clients attend all scheduled therapy sessions, and offsite community support meetings, along with team building events
Orient new clients to the facility, and ensure clients understand all materials and sign all required intake documents
Monitor and document clients taking medication; input the required information into the EMR system
Maintain a consistent and open channel of communication with Clinical Director and Facility Director.
Make copies, filing, and other administrative office duties
Ensure good neighbor policy is being enforced.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Minimum:
High School Graduate (or equivalent)
Current Certification in CPR and First Aid
Able to maintain a professional manner with staff, clients, and visitors
Able to work in a fast-paced setting, under pressure, and maintain open, and proper communication
Knowledge about chemical dependency/mental health
Valid driver's license
Current TB skin test on file
Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English
Good physical and mental health
Knowledge and ability to identify individuals under the influence
Female gender is a required qualification of this position to protect client's privacy and ability to successful rehabilitate in a women only alcohol addiction treatment facility.
This position is required to enter the clients' residential units 24 hours a day. Female gender is a required qualification of this position to protect client's privacy and ability to successful rehabilitate in a women only alcohol addiction treatment facility.
Physical Requirements:
Requires being on your feet and moving around (stand, sit, or walk for an extended time)
Requires a hands-on approach to work (move, bend, squat, stoop, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance)
Ability to read and interpret written information, write notes and forms clearly and informatively.
Preferred:
Professional experience incorporating the Sinclair Method into practice
Personal experience utilizing the Sinclair Method in recovery
College degree in in Human Services or related field
Working towards certification as a Certified Prevention Specialist (formerly known as CSAPC) or a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (formerly known as CSAC) through the North Carolina Addictions
Specialist Professional Practice Board (NCASPPB) Experience working in the treatment setting with chemical dependency/mental health Advanced knowledge of community support systems including 12-step AA/NA, refuge recovery, smart recovery, and celebrate recovery and their application in residential treatment
Knowledge of dual diagnosis treatment practices including non-pharmacological symptom management techniques.
