Responsibilities:
$10,000 Bonus - Certain criteria is required to qualify for the bonus.Under the general supervision of the Perinatal Clinical Director, the Clinical Coordinator, RN plans, organizes, directs, and supervises other professional and non-professional staff in the administering of excellent patient care and customer service. This position assumes clinical responsibility for the specialty by providing teaching, clinical supervision and evaluation of other personnel assigned to the area. The Clinical Coordinator, RN supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff in pursuant to the objectives of the hospital.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATIONGraduate of an accredited Nursing program: BSN preferred.MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCETwo years clinical experience, preferably on the unit, which the Registered Nurse takes Clinical Coordinator responsibilities.REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONSCurrent licensure in Texas as a registered Nurse.American Heart Association BLS required.Completion of ACLS within 6 months of hire.REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIESDemonstrated leadership ability and critical thinking skills required. Excellent communication skills. Computer skills.WORK SCHEDULEThis unit/department is staffed to provide coverage 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. It requires working weekends and holidays. Generally scheduled 12 hour shifts day or night rotations. Schedules and work shifts may be changed in respect to patient procedure demands and hospital census. During low census or low procedure volumes, staff may be required to float to other nursing units where deemed competent, flex hours or rotate days off without pay.
