Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital

Provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope standards of practice as supervised and delegated by a registered nurse.

Job Requirements:

Required Licenses

Licensed Practical Nurse
Current LPN Licensure to practice in the state of Kentucky OR a Current LPN Licensure with a multistate compact status.

Minimum Work Experience

One or more years of recent Labor and Delivery/Newborn Nursery/Postpartum experience preferred.

Required Skills

Certifications:

1. Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtain within 90 days after hire date.

2. Current American Heart Association ACLS certification or obtain within 6 months after hire date.

3. Successful completion of Neonatal Resuscitation certification within 90 days of hire date.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
