Registered Nurse (RN) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Full-Time 12 Hour Night Shift)

This position is eligible for a $5,000 Sign-on Bonus for candidates with at least one year recent NICU experience.

Located in the city of Santa Barbara, California, Cottage Children's Medical Center is recognized today as a regional referral center for the medical needs of infants, toddlers, and children throughout the tri-county area.

The primary focus of the 22 bed Level III, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is the provision of critical nursing care to the infant in crisis. The neonatal patient may suffer from a wide variety of medical conditions such as prematurity, respiratory distress, meconium aspiration syndrome, hypoglycemia, hyperbilirubinemia, sepsis and surgical conditions requiring pre and post-operative care. Care ranges from the acute phase to patient needs or conditions necessitating close observation and interventions.

The NICU utilizes a comprehensive multi-disciplinary team approach to meet the patient's needs throughout their hospital stay and we recognize the importance of parents and family as being an important members of the team.

We are currently seeking dynamic, skilled neonatal nurses to join our team. At least 1 year experience in newborn nursery or Pediatrics. 1 year experience in a Level II or III NICU is preferred. California RN license, BLS, and NRP are also required.
