SCHEDULE: PRN/Per Diem

Qualifications

Applying the standards set forth for nursing practice by the American Nurses Association (ANA), the Neonatal ICU RN will organize, modify, evaluate, document and maintain the plan of care for premature and high-risk babies.
  • Plan, implement, revise and delegate nursing care
  • Perform necessary technical skills as delineated through education, expertise, and unit requirements
  • Incorporate teaching into all aspects of nursing practice
The RN provides direct nursing in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. The current requirements are:
  • Graduated from an accredited school with Bachelors of Science in Nursing
  • TX RN or compact license with the ability to obtain permanent license in TX
  • BLS required upon hire, issued by American Heart Association
  • NRP required within 3 months of hire
  • S.T.A.B.L.E. required within 6 months of hire
  • National Specialty Certification highly preferred
  • 2-3 years of Level III NICU experience required
