Nemours is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for our Advanced Delivery Unit in Wilmington, DE.
This scheduled time includes 12-hour day shift from 7am to 7pm, with every third weekend and holiday rotations.
As Delaware's only Pediatric Hospital, Nemours now provides a state-of-the-art Advanced Delivery Program (ADP) for healthy, expectant mothers whose unborn child will require immediate and complex care after delivery. Our post-natal neonates require a full spectrum of complex medical and surgical management, including the state's only neonatal extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) center. At the heart of our neonatal care team, our CICU & NICU nurses provide care to neonates of varying diagnoses, including extreme prematurity, as well as illnesses of the respiratory, cardiac, neurologic, gastrointestinal, renal/urologic, skeletal, and metabolic systems.
The ADP currently provides care for up to 50 patients in our state-of-the-art unit with continued growth annually. The addition of an ADP in 2019 has enhanced the management of neonates with known congenital anomalies at the time of delivery. The ADP team provides a highly personalized environment that supports the mother baby dyad. Our ADP mothers are able to labor, deliver, and recover within our closed obstetrical unit. After delivery, families will be in close proximity to their babies who will be recovering in one of our intensive care units.
Additional Requirements:
BSN preferred or actively enrolled in a BSN program.
Previous labor and delivery experience required
Minimum of three years of nursing experience required
