Maternal-Child Staff Nurse (Float)

A New York City hospital is currently seeking an experienced licensed Registered Nurse (RN) for a promising Float Staff position with their Maternal-Child team.

Responsibilities:

The Maternal-Child Staff Nurse (Float) will:

• Maintain standards of the practice for nursing
• Actualize the vision, mission, values, balanced scorecard performance measures
• Participate in performance improvement/research activities
• Maintain professional practice standards and clinical expertise
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of Medical-Surgical experience
• Graduate of accredited School of Nursing
• NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification
• Infection Control training
• Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
• Patient oriented
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Certification in specialty
