Job Description
Facility: Sisters of Charity Hospital
Shift: Shift 1
Status: Per Diem FTE: 0.100000
Bargaining Unit: ACE Associates
Exempt from Overtime: Exempt: No
Hours: 745-345, 800-400, 830-430
Summary:
The Registered Nurse in the Antepartum Fetal Testing Unit delivers direct patient care utilizing the nursing process to patients with obstetrical or gynecologic health needs. Associate will collaborate with other health professionals in coordinating patient care and provides direction to other non-licensed personnel within the department.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
* Current New York State Nursing License
* BSN preferred
* Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program
EXPERIENCE
* A minimum of one-year labor and delivery experience including fetal monitoring interpretation skills
* Previous RN experience strongly preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
* Demonstrated clinical ability
* Excellent communication skills
* Physical activity includes: balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, repetitive motions and heavy work
WORKING CONDITIONS
* Subject to inside and outside environmental conditions
ENVIRONMENT
* Normal heat, light space, and safe working environment typical of most office jobs
* Occasional exposure to one or more mildly unpleasant physical conditions
