Relief Labor & Delivery working per diem hours at Mercy Health in Muskegon. Requirement is to work 4 shifts a month and have previous L & D experience. Must be experienced RN licensed in the State of MI. BSN preferred but not required.

Registered Nurse

SUMMARY: Coordinates total patient nursing care for patients, participated in patient and family teaching, and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standard for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. QUALIFICATIONS: Must have current, unencumbered R.N. license to practice in the State of Michigan; level of knowledge equivalent to that ordinarily acquired through completion of a minimum of two years of college level training in nursing, BSN preferred; Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification; analytical ability to assess and evaluate patient's condition and utilize the nursing process; interpersonal skills necessary to almost constantly communicate with patients, families, medical personnel and other members of the health care team; ability to work cooperatively within the framework of the nursing team; ability to perform effectively and efficiently under pressure and stressful critical situations; ability to operate a computer.

Labor & Delivery RNs shall complete NRP within 6 months of hire and Certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) within 1 year of hire.
