Job Description
The licensed Practical Nurse ( LPN) assumes responsibility and accountability for patients in the Obstetrics / , Pediatrics, and Newborn Nursery Department for a designated time frame. The OB/ Pediatric/ NSY LPN is responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing care of patients in correlation with the Nursing Process, Alabama Nurse Practice Acts, South Baldwin Reg. Med. Ctr. Standards of care, philosophy, mission, and the medical plan of treatment and care. Graduate of an approved School of Nursing as an LPN. At least one year of experience as a LPN, preferably in the Obstetrics /Pediatric/ Newborn specialty. Current Alabama license as a LPN and BLS required. NRP highly recommended.
