**Description**

The RN, Special Care Nursery, applies the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. The Pediatric Registered Nurse, effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team. Collaborates in establishing patient goals and evaluates progress to ensure effective outcomes. Furthers professional growth by engaging in learning activities according to the Board of Nursing standards.

Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt is one of the nation's leading children's hospitals. **Position Shift:**

+ 7:00 pm-7:00 am/3 shifts a week

**Sign On Terms:**

+ **$20,000 (taxable) within 60 days of hire**

+ **The sign-on bonus is not applicable to current VUMC staff or former staff who have worked for VUMC in the past one year.**

**Relocation Terms:**

+ **$15,000 (taxable) within 45 day of hire**

+ **Must relocate from greater than 100 miles**

+ **The relocation bonus is not applicable to current VUMC staff or former staff who have worked for VUMC in the past one year.**

+ Graduate of an approved discipline specific program (or equivalent experience) and 1 year relevant experience **Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration (LCR):**

+ Registered Nurse Required

**Physical Requirements/Strengths needed & Physical Demands:**

+ Heavy Work category requiring exertion of 50 to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 20 to 50 lbs. of force frequently and/or up to 10 to 20 lbs. of force continually to move objects.
